The basic Fundamental of Unani medicine ie – Umoor e Tabia, Tarikh- e- Tib (History of Unani Medicine, Arabic, Mantique wa Falsafa, logic & philosophy) & Communication Skill is included in Kulliyat in UG Degree level course. Umoor e Tabia covers seven pillars Arkan, Mizaj, Akhlat, Aza, Arwah, Quwa, Atfal, without these seven pillars we can not imagine the existence of the human body according to Unani Medicine. Department activities include teaching & training to the B.U.M.S. 1 st year & 2 nd year student.
Ilmul Advia is Backbone of Unani System of medicine. It includes evolution of drugs (Identification cultivate collection storage) etc. on one hand and action and use on the other it comprises kulliyat, Advia Mufradat, Advia Murakkabat, Saidla and Kustasaz.
The ilmul Saidla is an important branch of Unani System of Medicine, which educates Art & Science of preparing and dispensing drugs & Medicine. Saidla further explained the mechanism of preparing compound drugs such as Safoof, Majoon, Itrifal, Jawarish, Syrup as well as extraction methods of juice, oil, gums & resi. The drug efficacy is also a mechanism of Saidla for purification of drugs. It also stresses the process of dissolution and separation of active ingredients raw materials of Plants, Animals & Minerals. Saidla also determined the specific action and doses of prepared Medicines. Overall it will be justified to say that Saidla is the BackBone of Unani system of Medicine as it prepares and supplies the varieties of drugs in different forms for the purpose of controlling & curing the diseases.
Physiology is derived from a Greek word Physiologikos means Discourse of Natural Knowledge. In simple ways it is explained in Knows as a basic Science dealing normal functioning of complicated systems of the human body. The aim of Teaching Physiology is to “UNFOLD THE SECRET OF NATURE”. Human Physiology is the most important part of Medical Curriculum teaches in the initial stage of course. The study of Physiology is also essential to understand allied subjects like Biochemistry, Pathology, Pharmacology & Medicine. It is globally accepted that Human body functions under a certain principle/ Mechanism and is regulated by control systems.
The ward Pathology is derived functions Greek word, Pathos meaning suffering and logos meaning study.Pathology is the scientific study of structure and function of the Mahiyatul Amraz was the part of moafejal as a subject named Ilmul Amraz we have well established Pathology lab is Faridia Hospital (Central Laboratory) of S.U.M. college for teaching and Practical experience and to help the patients. This department was upgraded is the year 2013 according to the guide line of CCIM, New Delhi. Then the department of Mahiyatul Amraz come in existence.
